Maturing the liqueur in these old whisky-soaked casks brings out pleasing aromas from the wood and gives it a profound and fragrant flavour that only toasted casks can achieve. This is the result of the Western spirit-making skills handed down over generations at Suntory as well as their blending techniques.
Suntory has just released this in Japan. Tokugawa Whisky is proud of being the first to deliver for the Australian market. This Suntory Plum Wine is aged in Yamazaki Whisky oak barrels for a unique blend of (Umeshu) Plum Wine. Voted as one of the best Plum Wines to be released by Suntory.
