Our first journey exclusively down Sherry Lane, cask 023 is an ex-McWilliams 300L Apera (Australian Sherry) cask in 2019. Brought to you at full cask strength, non-chill filtered. Beautiful deep amber colour, rich and luscious on the nose with notes of honey and raisins, cinnamon and Jaffas. To taste, milk chocolate and toffees, spiced pears, ginger, lime tart, caramel, tobacco, and leather. A wonderful demonstration of the rich complexity being achieved by this distillery.
As this comes from a single barrel, there is a finite supply of only 369 bottles. We have been showing this whisky at recent events and it has been a real favourite, so stocks will not last long for this, our first general release cask strength expression.
