As there is no distillery called Port Askaig, this dram has been named after the ancient ferry port and fishing harbour situated on the East coast of Islay, overlooking the stunningly beautiful Sound of Islay.

Throughout time, Islay-life has posed its challenges—a landscape exposed to the elements, clan-rule of the land and the remoteness of the island itself, have shaped an inner-strength and character in its people, a character reflected in the island's spirit.

The pale straw colour with a distinct peaty nose is complemented by floral notes,

Sweet peat and smoky bacon on the palate, with a characteristic earthy peat and distinctive coastal elements.

Finishing with a long, powerful smoky finish, typical of single malt whisky from this part of Islay.
