Opaque black dark red colour with a very dark brick red hue. Aromas of ripe blackcurrant, dark plum and liquorice overlay spicy cedar. Ripe and quite lush the palate has flavours of blackcurrant over toasty cedar and spice. Very fine grained tannins. Dry, finishing a touch short with the toasty oak taking control. Aftertaste of toasty cedar, subtle blackcurrant and spicy earth.
